I've put £5,000 in my trading account, my goal is to make £1,000,000 cash by the 17th of January 2008. I know I can do it! Watch my progress sooooooooon!!!!
I'm not using options at the moment Neil...I'm just going to momentum trade to get the 1 million squid.....I'm 39 on the 17th of Jan so it will be a good day! When i get too the million I will throw a big party for all on this blog.
GREAT STUFF! I am also just momentum trading but doing serious research into options. I cant wait till new ISA season (i dont want to touch my current ISAs invested in OEICS/UTs as i am happy with their performance for now). I have been trading in some other accounts and CAN make money! Hope this volatile market continues. Go to admit though i am not using sell limit orders as effectively as i should be.
Richard - are you trading US stocks too? If youre doing UK stocks i will be happy if you wish to share ideas either here or directly with me in my email. cheers for now neil
Richard, I am not using any UK charting system yet (just can’t fit it in right now – maybe over Easter).
Your share suggestions (I don’t like calling them “tips”) underpin my earlier suggestions of UK mining stocks!!
I also noted the trends of the UK building stocks for past 12mths, but now is not the time to buy with all the bid activity. But when it fizzles out look again.
Hi Rich, Neil and anyone else reading this thread. My first post - sorry for the delay in joining!
Rich thank you for setting this up. I also use Sharescope as I use spread betting on UK stocks - look at St James Place for a stock that took off today - might be a bit late for today but well worth a look...
Rich, I saw you mentioned KAZ and BLT - I am guessing you saw these as good reversal trades - is that right? BLT looks like I missed the opportunity and KAZ has stalled a bit?
What's your take - or are you seeing these as chanelling stocks?
I am into channeling stocks more so since WM. Although my main strategy is buy low and sell high -easy said than done at times, but there have been many opportunities with the recent volatility.
I dont use any trend software yet, but stick to manually seeking out stocks using Yahoo and Digital look. Its worked for me in the past and i really just want to get back in the swings again after not trading for so long before.
The basic premise with these two stocks is that they have been v.volatile for over 18 months. With this volatility comes opportunity. I would definitely have a Stop Loss on these two as if the market corrects again these two are hit more than others. Stocks that increase the quickest fall the quickest.....good luck!

Hi Neil
I'm sticking to UK stocks and using Sharescope to data mine. Two stocks well worth a look are Kazakhys (KAZ) & BHP Billiton (BHP).
